Feature Friday time again!
Today is the home of @carrieellegaard
This feature is very special and exciting for me because Carrie has been inspiring me with her talents for almost twenty years.
The first time I walked into her beautiful bungalow up on the north side of town I knew then that I wanted to live in one myself one day.
The way she designed that home has been much of the inspiration behind my own home.
Then I got to tour her new home this summer.
Wow, just wow.
I literally froze in the entryway.
I’ve always known she was one of the most talented decorators I’ve ever met and that she could take simple things and make them stunning but I was blown away out how she captured the period of her new home so beautifully.
The wallpaper was absolute perfection.
The inviting furniture had been carefully and painstakingly searched for on Facebook Marketplace.
Carrie is brilliant at using pre-loved items.
Everything I pointed to was from an antique store or marketplace or yard sales.
The simplicity mixed with color and comfort was absolutely breathtaking.
Her home made me feel peaceful and comfortable and inspired all at the same time.
